Reported at www.abc.net.au: WA Premier Roger Cook has announced a home battery rebate scheme offering up to $7,500 to encourage residential battery installations ahead of the upcoming election.

The initiative aims to make home batteries more affordable for low to medium-income households by also providing no-interest loans up to $10,000.

Cook hopes this plan will stimulate local battery manufacturing and expand the state’s renewable energy capabilities.
