Reported at www.abc.net.au: Western Australia will introduce a low sensory polling booth for the upcoming state election, aimed at assisting autistic and neurodivergent individuals, as well as those with intellectual disabilities.

The booth, located in Marangaroo, will feature low-sensory lighting and quiet areas and will operate for four half-days from February 27 to March 6.

The initiative follows successful trials in Victoria and includes additional accessibility options for voters with vision impairments, such as telephone-assisted voting.
