Reported at www.abc.net.au: The Queensland Police Union has called for stricter supervision and monitoring of high-risk domestic violence offenders, similar to measures for bikies and paedophiles.
Proposed changes include banning offenders from dating apps and nightclubs, tracking their phones, and electronically monitoring those granted bail.
The union sees an urgent need for enhanced protection for victims, as police respond to domestic violence incidents every three minutes, with a significant increase in breaches of domestic violence orders.
