Reported at www.theguardian.com: The National Anti-Corruption Commission will investigate six individuals referred by the robodebt royal commission, following an independent review that criticised its initial refusal to act.

The investigation aims to determine if any of the individuals, five public servants and one public official, engaged in corrupt conduct, with the commissioner and relevant deputy commissioners stepping aside to ensure impartiality.

An independent review previously identified potential bias in the decision process, prompting the NACC to reconsider the referrals and take necessary steps to ensure a fair investigation.
