Reported at www.sbs.com.au: Australian politicians, including Defence Minister Richard Marles and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, have expressed strong support for Ukraine and its sovereignty in response to former US President Donald Trump’s remarks labelling President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “dictator.”

Marles stated that any resolution to the conflict should be based on Ukraine’s terms, while Albanese reiterated Australia’s commitment to international law and support for Ukraine’s struggle.

The Opposition leader Peter Dutton has also criticised Trump’s comments, asserting that Ukraine did not initiate the war and condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions.
