Reported at www.sbs.com.au: China’s defence ministry has criticised Australia for “hyping up” claims regarding China’s recent live-fire naval drills in international waters, asserting that it provided ample safety notices beforehand.
Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles has expressed dissatisfaction over the notice given, stating it had forced aircraft to divert.
In response, China’s spokesperson has said that its actions were lawful and did not jeopardize aviation safety.
