Reported at michaelwest.com.au: Australia has expressed concerns over a live-fire exercise conducted by China’s navy, which raised international tensions and prompted airlines to alter flight paths to avoid the area.

While Chinese actions were deemed compliant with international law and posed no imminent threat, Defence Minister Richard Marles highlighted the need for better communication regarding such military activities.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong demanded clarifications from China regarding the short notice of the drill, which she described as unsatisfactory.
