Reported at michaelwest.com.au: Gender-diverse youth, their families, and allies are set to rally across Australia in response to bans on puberty blockers and gender-affirming care in Queensland, which has halted treatment for 491 young patients.

Trans Justice Project Director Jackie Turner emphasized the need to oppose these bans to prevent similar actions in other states and highlighted the emotional turmoil families are facing due to restricted access to essential healthcare.

Following Queensland’s decision, the federal government announced a review of gender-affirming care led by the National Health and Medical Research Council, aiming for consistency in healthcare provisions for transgender youth across the country.
